Best Practice for Receiving:
Receiving is the action of recording and confirming the number of products that were shipped to the designated location. Receiving is necessary because it’s linked to inventory, payments, and invoicing in the Method Platform.
When a shipment arrives, you will be able to do a three way match between:
- The supplies in the box, the Purchase Order, and the invoice
- You’ll record the quantity received for each item ordered to confirm that shipment was correct
If items arrive damaged, add comments to each receipt and upload photos of the damage to keep all the proof in one place
How to Receive Products:
1. Select Receive on Menu Bar.
2. Select the Purchase Order you are wanting to receive in the items. You'll see all the Purchase Orders that are in progress to be received
